Answers to common questions about your water and your account.

Water & service

Who should I call if my water is off?

Call (205) 652-9394 during office hours. For an after-hours emergency, call (205) 499-8825 or (205) 499-6005.

How do I report a possible water-main leak?

If you see an unusual wet area or suspect a leaking rural water main, call the office and describe the location. Use the emergency numbers outside office hours.

What if my water looks cloudy or unusual?

Contact the office if cloudiness persists or you notice a change in appearance or odor. Staff can help determine whether work in your area or another issue needs attention.

Where can I get a water quality report?

The water quality page includes the 2022 report available on the existing website. Call the office for a newer copy.

Accounts & payments

How can I pay my bill?

Pay online through Nexbillpay, enroll in bank draft, or use mail or office payment options. See payment details.

Can I pay online after receiving a disconnect notice?

Call the office before paying. An online payment alone will not restore disconnected service.

What do I need to start service?

Contact the office about a Water Users Agreement, photo ID, required charges, and availability at your address. Rental properties also need a landlord agreement. Learn about starting service.

Small habits. Less wasted water.

Watch for dripping faucets and running toilets, and fix leaks promptly. Compare bills from month to month; an unexpected rise in use can be a reason to check for a leak.

If you suspect a problem and need help understanding your usage, call the office.
